Foot Locker keeps the bangers coming with this new promo starring Damian Lillard and Tracy McGrady. It also features a friend of DW, Jin Hong, a former reserve forward at College of St. Rose who was one of a very short list of Asian American Division I basketball players last year.
The promo hits every beat, referencing T-Mac’s pro stint in China, Dame’s deadpan delivery, and of course, letting Jin do a funny bit without stooping to racially insensitive jokes. Foot Locker’s Manny Pacquiao promo ran along those same lines.
We’re just happy they didn’t make Jin do an accent. Because he’s Korean and we don’t trust his acting chops that much just yet.
