Dat Winning Short Docs: The Chinatown 3-on-3

As the days get colder, we take a look back at a warmer time with our first Dat Winning short doc on New York Chinatown’s historic Asian 3-on-3 Basketball Championship.

Every summer, Asian-Americans from all over the Tri-State area congregate on the asphalt playgrounds of New York’s Chinatown for the annual “Chinatown 3-on-3.”

Now in its 21st year, the Asian 3-on-3 Basketball Championship has become a highly-anticipated cultural event among in the Asian American community. It is the neighborhood’s largest and longest running basketball tournament, hosting 190 teams across 20 divisions in 2015.
